Our Story

Bobak Sausage is a Chicago based company that has been located on the South-side of Chicago for nearly 50 years. We take sausage seriously and that’s why every one of our Sausageologists has their Ph. D. in Sausageology!


Well before we opened our company doors sausage was being made by family in the basement and smoked in the garage! It wasn’t until the fire department showed up thinking there was a fire that the thought of opening a store came to mind. The rest of the story, well that’s history!


We opened a small storefront in the Back of the Yards neighborhood back in 1967. As business grew our small storefront was no longer capable of keeping up with capacity and we relocated to Archer Heights in 1989 and continued to operate out of that facility for 26 years! In 2015, our manufacturing capacity was reached and we relocated to our current facility in West Garfield Park. Over the years we have grown and continue to grow, there’s no stopping the hard-working Master of Sausageology!
