Bobak Sausage is a Chicago based company that has been located on the Southside of Chicago for nearly 50 years. We take sausage seriously and that’s why every one of our Sausageologists has their Ph. D. in Sausageology!


Well before we opened our company doors sausage was being made by family in the basement and smoked in the garage! It wasn’t until the fire department showed up thinking there was a fire that the thought of opening a store came to mind. The rest of the story, well that’s history! We opened a small storefront in the Back of the Yards neighborhood back in 1967.


As business grew our small storefront was no longer capable of keeping up with capacity and we relocated to Archer Heights in 1989 and continued to operate out of that facility for 26 years! In 2015, our manufacturing capacity was reached and we relocated to our current facility in West Garfield Park. Over the years we have grown and continue to grow, there’s no stopping the hard-working Master of Sausageology!

Our Sausageologists work hard in our state-of-the-art USDA plant to handcraft the best tasting gourmet Polish and Contemporary flavors of sausages and deli meats you’ve ever tasted, not only under the Bobak label but private label as well.


When we start out making any of our sausages and deli meats we start with the same thing which is fresh, never frozen, lean cuts of meat no matter what type of meat or poultry is being used. In addition to the lean cuts of meat, we don’t utilize any fillers and all of our Bobak’s line of products contain No MSG, No Gluten, and No Trans Fat, just high-quality meat and a blend of spices in our sausages and deli meats!

Our team of Research Development Sausageologists are always working hard to create new flavor pallets for everyone to enjoy, so if you have an idea that you would like to see our team of Sausageologists work on for you, give us a call we’re up for a challenge!

Under the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards, Bobak’s is BRC Certified and our HACCAP score has exceeded expectations to achieve an a-rating!

When our doors first opened in 1967 our business was the store, nearly five decades later the store is still a vital part of the company but our wholesale business has soared.


Today, you can find a variety of our products throughout Chicagoland in any local grocer, meaning the taste of our delicious sausage is not more than a short drive away. If you’re lucky we might just be grilling up some handcrafted sausages and sampling them out as well! If you cannot find them at your local grocer, chances are you still have had a Bobak’s sausage as we are involved in foodservice and distribute to many restaurants!


Additionally, we have distribution on both the east and west coast as well, so while the hunt may not be as easy the treasure is definitely out there and worth the search! These gourmet meats are distributed throughout the United States, and we are export proficient in 13 countries one of them being Afghanistan so we can supply our troops with great meats, they deserve the best!
